Caring for cashmere in the proper way will extend the life of your garment.  Although Virkotie recommends DRY CLEAN ONLY we can suggest that hand washing your cashmere for an excellend finish is easy & without the extra cost.  

 

1. Please wash seperately.

2. Fill basin with warm water.

3. Add washing detergent especially designed for delicate wools.  A good quality hair shampoo works well as an alternative.

4. Gently wash through water to clean.

5. Once washed thoroughly empty basin & gently press cashmere against side of basin to remove water.

6. On a large white towel place your cashmere & lay flat smoothing out any wrinkles.

7. If long sleeve please place seperately to dry out.

8. Gently roll the white towel to remove excess water.

9. Once rolled gently press on roll (repeat rolling if still damp).

10. Unroll & place cashmere on a smooth clean dry surface overnight.

 

You will find your cashmere is so soft & smells fantastic.  Once completely dry place your cashmere in the Virkotie box for storage.  If you follow these care instructions your cashmere will last a lifetime.
